WINK BURCHAM:
Singer/songwriter, Wink Burcham, has been playing the Tulsa music scene for a number of years, and is an integral part of a new wave of Tulsa talent. He has developed a very loyal following in the region and is beginning to step out on a national scale. Performing a style that easily slips between old-fashioned country, grass-roots folk, and Motown inspired blues, it's easy to understand his appeal. His soulful melodies support witty and heartfelt lyrics in the tradition of John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, and John Lee Hooker.

Auld Lang Syne: Yearning

Auld Lang Syne

Bio//

Hailing from Rochester, NY, Auld Lang Syne has built a reputation for crafting lyrically incisive songs, firmly rooted in the earth, yet backed by arrangements which are utterly transcendent. Timothy and Kathy Dick sing their hymns to impermanence and heartfelt pleas for authenticity while soaring instrumentation and intricate vocal harmonies weave and dart like a confluence of sparrows

About Green Corn Lite:

This 11 piece band will be pared down to a sextet for this show, thus the name Green Corn Lite.

This Oklahoma-grown band, know forthwith as Green Corn Rebellion, arose from the murk of the sleeping Tulsa Sound, or the mire of the not-so-tired New Tulsa Sound, or perhaps the underpinnings of the dirge-punk scene somewhere in Terlton.

Masked as mere dextrous performers, the band consists of highly trained thinking machines from a variety of backgrounds, tirelessly creating dramatic musical enactments of Americana from the underbelly of the mid-south, i.e. the line of highways that spans Stillwater to Houma, cypress to red dirt, a "prarie-dog rock" voodoo.

Upcoming House Concerts:
Heather Maloney with Casii Stephan, April 29th
Auld Lang Syne with Green Corn Lite May 3rd

Kim Richey July 25th.  (This show is a partnership with between Vox Pop Tulsa and House Concerts Unlimited)
