It’s a quiet confidence, an air of authority limited to only the most studied artists, a commanding irreverence woven with a thread of vulnerability. There’s something inexplicably authentic about Oklahoma’s Travis Linville, and it’s carried him from dive bars and classrooms to “The Tonight Show” and esteemed theaters and festivals across the globe. Alyssa and Doug Graham took the concept of living for their art to an extreme while writing for their latest release. The husband and wife duo spent a year traveling down the Mississippi in search of inspiration along “The Great River Road.” They played a variety of juke joints and dive bars to soak up the atmosphere along the way, ultimately moving into a houseboat in rural Louisiana to write the songs that make up the Riverman’s Daughter.

Amelia's previous album OLD POSTCARD was met with a slew of praise from outlets like USA Today, American Songwriter, the Bluegrass Situation and more.  No Depression said, "if Lucinda ever fronted Fleetwood Mac, this might be the outcome," with the Bluegrass Situation adding that "I think we're entering a great new era of alternative country music.  If you need an example, look no further than Amelia White."

Tickets:  Advanced through Paypal $18.  DOS $20 RSVP not required, but would be nice so we can get an idea of how many seats to put out.  RSVP to scottaypoet@gmail.com Beverages, ie. wine coolers beer and pop available.  Hey to all you patrons of House Concerts Unlimited.  There is a reason I have hosted Amelia White and Sergio Webb, probably more than any other artist since I began doing House Concerts; she takes country music to the level of poetry, her melodies are haunting, and her guitar player, Sergio Webb, brings edgy to the mix.  It's a deadly one/two punch. Amelia's voice is a little Lucinda Williams, a little Eliza Gilkyson and a whole lot of raise the hair on the back of the neck good.  Sergio Webb should be an honorary Oklahoman because his guitar skills are straight out of the tradition of the great Oklahoma players like Terry "Buffalo" Ware, in that there is an economy of just the right notes and a tone that matches the mood of each song.  Sergio is like one of those mood rings from the 70's that Amelia slips on her finger before each song and we all know the color of the song. White can do traditional country well, too, as she shows on In My Blood. About Sarah Potenza She got her big break in 2015, when she received a “four chair turn” and made the Top 20 on “The Voice,” while gaining a national following in the process. Her trademark white framed glasses and colorful wardrobe made her a fan favorite and many of those new fans now flock to see her on tour. You won’t find any gimmicks on Monster, just pure unadulterated rock and roll. As such, it should find an audience among Americana/Roots enthusiasts and traditional rock fans. Rolling Stone called her a “rock ‘n soul powerhouse” and Potenza has been rightly compared to commanding divas like Janis Joplin, Etta James even Aretha Franklin.
